shiftLeft, ctrlLeft, and altLeft Properties Sample

This example demonstrates how to use the shiftLeft, altLeft, and ctrlLeft properties, in concert with the shiftKey, altKey, and ctrlKey properties, to indicate when you press the left and right SHIFT, ALT, and CTRL keys, respectively.

Important The altLeft, ctrlLeft, and shiftLeft properties are currently supported only in Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.0 and Microsoft® Windows® 2000.

The color bars below brighten when you press any of the corresponding SHIFT, ALT, or CTRL keys. When you release the key, the color of the bar returns to its initial state.

Note Pressing the ALT key triggers the menu bar; when this happens, press the ALT key again to return the focus to the document.

Shift: left right
Alt: left right
